Michelle Young Says She’s Feeling “Happier” Following Her Breakup with Bachelorette Winner Nayte Olukoya

Michelle Young is feeling “happier” after a truly emotional breakup with Bachelorette winner Nayte Olukoya. At least according to this Instagram post, which was meet with a ton of support from her friends—including “Happy looks good on you! 🙌” (from Jesse Palmer), “*snaps fingers* you better🔥,” (from Ryan Claytor), and another “happiness looks good on you” (from Natalie Lee of Love Is Blind).

Michelle and Nayte announced their breakup back in June, and Michelle made it clear it was an extremely hard moment for her.

“I’m struggling to say that Nayte and I will be going our separate ways but I stand with him in knowing the heaviness that is present in both of our hearts as this relationship has been very real for us,” she said in a statement. “To you, Nayte, you quickly became my best friend and the love I have for you is incredibly strong. I will never stop wanting to see you succeed.I will always acknowledge and appreciate the adventures, support, and growth both Nayte and this experience have brought me. At the same time, I’m deeply hurting and will need time and space to work through this heartbreak.”

In early July, Michelle told the Almost Famous podcast that “I think where I’m struggling with this piece is it’s like you never know how much to say, you never know how to handle it, you never know how it’s going to be taken. But I will say that this is not something that I foresaw, and I’ll leave it there.”

Think we can all agree that breakups are the actual worst, and going through one in public doesn’t sound particularly fun. Glad to hear Michelle is doing better and feeling happy.
